It’s neat seeing everyone’s personal lists. I don’t change my own oil, for example, but do can and freeze food we grow. And buy wine in a box. And make my laundry soap and hang out clothes. But I haven’t canceled Netflix. I think the cool thing about blogs like yours is that it allows the exchange of new ideas; I’ve picked numbers 16 and 17 to implement.

And you’re right; some of these things don’t add up to huge savings, but they’re part of a more frugal, mindful lifestyle that you’ve chosen for yourself that is in line with your goals and values. I actually spend more money on food now than I did when I didn’t care about organic or local or grassfed, but eating that way is in line with my values.
